Getting the most from a mock.
A mock is practice, not a verdict. The report describes this sitting only; it does not predict a score in any real 11+ exam.
- Pick a calm time
- A weekend morning works well. Choose a time when your child is fed, rested and not rushing to the next thing.
- Set up like exam day
- A quiet table, a pencil and scrap paper. No calculator, no help and no other tabs open.
- Read the report together
- Look at the subject breakdown first, then go through two or three missed questions and their explanations.
- Practise, then repeat
- Spend a couple of weeks on the suggested topics before the next mock, and use a different version when you do.
